The rarely seen Uncle Silas, the TCM premiere of House of Bamboo, Stephen Frear's Gumshoe from '71 another TCM first, Robert Altman's first shot at directing; The Delinquents '57, Pier 5, Havana '59, Bob Osborne picks The Roaring Twenties '39 and guest programmer Sir Anthony Hopkins chooses "haunting" the Lady from Shanghai...Grace Kelly in a TV Studio One "The Kill" from '1952 (only listing I could find with that title) The TCM premiere of Violent Saturday and among "elevator movies" 1950's Federal Man another first showing...several Falcon and Boston Blackie films..Among a tribute to composer Johnny Mercer, 2 noirs; Macao and Road House.
Other noir notables during the month include; Act of Violence, BDABR,Berlin Express, Big Clock, Big Sleep, Blue Gardenia, Blues in the Night, Cast a Dark shadow, Dark Passage, Flaxy Martin, 14 Hours, Hunt the Man Down, Lady in the Lake, Money Trap, Our Man in Havana, Picture//Dorian Gray, Possessed, The Racket, Smart Girls Don't Talk, Martha Ivers makes an appearance Thunder Road and White Heat among several others.
