One of my favorite nasty types, John Hoyt, would have been 104 today. BRUTE FORCE, TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, THE BRIBE, TRAPPED, OUTSIDE THE WALL, THE LAWLESS, LOAN SHARK, THE BIG COMBO, THE COME ON.
John Alton, perhaps the best noir cinematographer ever, would have been 107 today. His work included THE MADONNA'S SECRET, THE PRETENDER, BURY ME DEAD, T-MEN, RAW DEAL, CANON CITY, THE AMAZING MR X, THE SCAR, HE WALKED BY NIGHT, THE CROOKED WAY, THE BLACK BOOK, BORDER INCIDENT, MYSTERY STREET, COUNT THE HOURS, I THE JURY, WITNESS TO MURDER, THE BIG COMBO and SLIGHTLY SCARLET.
