IMDb also notes that Van Zandt had a gambling problem. How (in)appropriate was it that he appeared in "The Two Dollar Bettor."
I remember him from various "Three Stooges" shorts (in which another film noir bit player, Gene Roth, sometimes, also played a heavy) and some late Universal horror titles.
