Hi Carl - It would truly be a bonanza if the floodgates opened and quality TV noir episodes were suddenly and routinely available for mass consumption. Many of the DVDs (DVRs) out there are combo platters assembled by collectors taken from 16mm tv prints with varying levels of picture/sound quality. This curious hybrid--the 30 minute noir film--will no doubt remain an underground fascination for some time to come. I think it's also safe to say that there are a great many of these episodes that compare more than favorably to many overblown and dull feature films.
