I saw a few minutes late into this film last week--channel surfing as-it were. I neither recognized the title nor the film itself, although it was from the period where my film-going was at its maximum. Was it even shown in the US back then? I liked George Nader, and think he got a bad deal from Hollywood, but that's for another topic.
I was impressed by the cast...all those great Brits who would later become well-known to American film and TV audiences...and had planned to see it next time 'round. After having read Solomon's review, I think I can pass on this movie. I have gotten to an age and mind set where there must be some sympathy or redeeming value in the protagonist or an important secondary character for me to spend time with the film. It seems this is not the case here. The review seems very thorough and well thought out, and will save me ninety or so minutes by passing up the next showing.
