Three cheers for Mr Lom...who after an enviable career as the suave, continental criminal or common English spiv or thug in so may films as GG indicates ...he later was so enjoyably good as the Chief Inspector, victim of so many of Peter Seller's Inspector Clouseau's pratfalls and pranks and unwitting and hilariously comic shenanagins in the Pink Panther series.
