The last 3 games with the Sooners were a 48-28 Mountaineer Fiesta Bowl victory followed by a 50-49 loss last year in Morgantown followed by a 16-7 loss in Norman this year in a game that was 13-7 with a couple minutes to go in the game?
Hardley a domination of West Virginia by the big bad Sooners? but if that is how they feel that's fine. Maybe it will develop into a rivalry a 20 years or so.
That's what most Mountaineers miss in the Big 12. Road games you can attend without having to fly!! and the long rivalry with Pittsburg and the developing rivalry with Cincinnati. At least we still have Maryland in the non conference.
In talking with Nebraska fans about the move to the Big 10 they kind of feel the same way, it was great at first playing different teams but they miss the longtime rivalries as they had never really played these Big 10 teams before.
