All of us in Mountaineer Nation have to wonder how the rest of this season will play out. WVU is 6-2 with 4 games remaining. Next week at Mountaineer field against the Louisville Cardinals which WVU should be able to win even with a less than perfect performance. After a loss they should be focused to get it done and move to 7-2 but here is where it gets interesting. They then travel to Cincinnati for a Friday the 13th contest with the #8 Bearcats then after a week off they host the Pittsburgh Panthers on November 27th before traveling to Piscattaway to play the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on December 5th.
If the Mountaineers play their best on offense and defense they could possibly win all 4 games, including the game at Cincinnati, and finish 10-2 and win the Big East and go to the BCS Bowl game.......Or.......This Mountaineer team that played in Tampa this week could lose 3 of those 4 games and finish 7-5 and perhaps end up in the Texas Bowl or maybe even the "Low Rent" Toronto Bowl facing the 3rd place team from the Mid-American Conference. It is hard to tell at this point. Perhaps we will see which team shows up against Louisville next week. I will be at Nippart Stadium on November 13th for that game. It is a great place to see a football game and I have seen the Mountaineers win the last 4 times they have played there.
