Yes I did, even the statistics associated with him are all offensive statistics but the way he was listed in the signing day breakdown was as a defensive back.
It is most likely because the Mountaineer coaches know there is a bigger need in the defensive backfield and since J.J. is listed as an "Athlete" he was always looked at as someone who could play multiple positions on either side of the ball.
