Just bought a 2001 ZX9 and the engine don't cool off when the fan kick in. All my past bikes, CBR900rr and 750 ninja's did cool off. The result is that the bike just continues to get hotter till it just overheats. The dealer says it is supposed to be that way. If anyone else has a zx9 does your engine temp drop when fan come on?
