KLR 650 height adjustment

I want to sell my 1994 KLR650 to a friend of mine that is a bit shorter than me. (5'7") The motorcycle sits a little high for me right now. Is it possible to change the height. If yes, is this difficult for a newbie? any help would be greatly appreciated.
