Posted by dual-sport but due to your size you need a bigger bike. i use to be a huge Kawai fan. but i have since learned a thing or 2. if you want the best dual sport bike ,especially for someone your height go with a Honda XR650-L this is a bike worth buying if your not into converting a dirt bike to a DOT app. dual sport. if not i would go with a XR 400 or XR 600, and also the Yamaha 400 or 426. differnce usually with the 400's and 600's is torque vs horsepower. smaller CC bikes usually have higher compression and the larger CC a lower compression. and torque is a whole lot of fun. and if you are a fairly heavy guy the torque is needed off road. if you would like some more info e-mail me im more then willing to give some imput that will help you in your decision of a new bike. good luck --Previous Message--

well if i had to choose between the 2 fro short rides and a little off roading it would be the 250.
and Utah is a great place to ride , why limit the
ride with a Kawasaki.
: I am looking to pick up a new Kawasaki KLR and
: am looking for advice about whether it
: should be a 250 or 650. I am about
: 6'1" and 250lbs and plan to ride it
: back and forth to work (couple of miles
: 45 mph) and take off up the canyons (Utah)
: as often as time permits. Plenty of
: off-road planned. Any suggestions?
