Congrats...I have the 2001 KLR250...love it. Break in is not complete on your bike....break in is first 1000 miles ...so take it easy. Keep the rpm's under 6000 for the next 500 miles. And I think you did get a good deal. I paid $3600 for the 2001 with 192miles on it. I now have over 3000 miles on it. You can get the rear rack for it from the kawi dealer. I bought a tank bag for an ATV that fits my bike perfect (with a little modifing) I also bought a fender pac to my tools in, which gives you more room in the rear factory bag for rain gear and band aids.
