If you want to know a little about me, I've posted a few other responses on this message board about CGS (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd) training and Montessori and the Church. To answer your question, CGS is faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. If you mean "traditional" to be: does CGS teach the Latin Mass or in Latin, the answer is no. Is the catechisis orthodox (faithful to the teachings of the Church and the Pope), yes. However, you should realize that there are CGS trainers who may not be orthodox, just as there are people who have taken the Catechesis and changed the lessons to fit their religion. (On the national website of CGS you will see that there are Atria, the room where the catechesis takes place, that are Episcopal, etc.) If you do decide to take the training, talk to others who have taken the training from the same people. Find out if the trainers are orthodox or not. I hope this helps. God bless.
