My daughter took Good Shepherd classes in New Providence, NJ, but now we live 1/2 hour away. I would really like my parish to do it, but I don't want to teach or organize. I have my hands full developing a music and movement education program for Catholic children. Anyway, I thought I might just buy a brochure and talk to the religious ed director about it. I homeschool my daughter and have been given exception to do so for religious ed, but I bet if I could find other interested Moms to do the work, she may be interested. I'm not really sure how to do this, but the secular Montessori school in our town has a wonderful reputation and is very expensive, so I bet a lot of moms would love the idea of Montessori catechism and on top of it, their children would have superior religious education. My daughter had a really exceptional teacher. I would love for my sons to get this great experience. Our homeschool coop has many members who participate in the New Providence one, maybe I'll sign the boys up when they are both old enought to go together. Anyway, good luck with your pastors. I'll pray for both of your endeavors.
