I think it's silly. God gave us nature to enjoy and take pleasure in and to draw us closer to him and, yes, to study. For me it's a no-brainer. I'm forever baffled why people want to argue these points. "But it is also just as easy to find the amazing genius in her method and expound on it from a Catholic perspective..." Definitely. My girls and I recently visited a Carmelite Monastary. The intern nun who showed us around reminded us that God take the good in things and makes them great and He also takes the bad in things and makes them good. He has blessed us with the brains and ability to read and study and discern the bad from the good and the good from the great. All good is of God and we can benefit from that.
