The use of the Monarch's standard is reserved for the use of the Monarch. It does not sit behind the monarch when they are on the throne nor does the GGs when they are in the senate. Same in provincial parliaments. In Alberta we have Alberta and Canada flags as well as the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Flag.
