I was in London for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. They were fantastic, there were more than a million people out on three successive days and there were many Canadians amongst them. Whilst it was an overwhelmingly British occasion, there were multiple mentions of the Commonwealth and the Realms, and prominent displays of Commonwealth flags, including a huge Canadian Jubilee flag across the front of the Canadian High Commission which was on the official procession route. It all made me proud and happy.
