When I graduated from McGill in '81 there was no God Save The Queen. There was O Canada.
I attended a convocation at U of T this week and there was neither God Save The Queen nor O Canada.
Interestingly, I was at the 150th Anniversary Service of the Black Watch Royal Highland Regiment of Canada at its Regimental Church The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul in Montreal two weeks ago and both God Save The Queen and O Canada were sung (and interestingly no part of either anthem in French).
