Where to begin?! I disagree with virtually every word of what you say here. In what way is "the Crown the guardian of minority rights" today? How does that work? Your generalization about so-called "Anglo-Saxon republicans" is preposterously sweeping and, as far as I know, groundless. And I regard the Queen's role as "Defender of the Faith" a complete historical anachronism, the institutional equivalent of the appendix in human anatomy. In the Canadian context it is entirely meaningless. Surely we monarchists can do a better job in making our case than constructing strings of syllogisms.
