I never thought of it that way. The monarchy is entrenched in the Constitution. What would you say to those (like a colleague of mine) who criticize the Crown as "nothing more than a bunch of welfare bums who have never worked a day in their lives and whose very existence legitimizes the class system and perpetuates inequity against women."
I would like to provide an argument to counter the rather harsh opinion of my colleague but I need some help here!
