Despite Ms DiManno's infantile writings, she does claim to be a monarchist. I well remember her respectful (and perhaps overly-gushing)coverage of Her Majesty's most recent homecoming. Even in her article on page 2 of today's Star, she makes it clear she does support the "archaic institution of monarchy - adore the Queen, a grand old dame, impeccable in her judgment and dignity. Think grandson William will be a fine successor ..." Unfortunately she goes on to say: "Just not crazy about these two gits ..." after telling us she shook hands with the Duchess.
