I think the arrival ceremony in St. John's would qualify as a public parade.
I saw Her Majesty several times during her last two visits to Canada. It was easy to do in conjunction with a good itinerary. Unfortunately, the details given on the Canadian Heritage website for this visit are quite sparse in comparison with those given for the previous two. (There are no arrival or departure times of any kind. Everything is relegated to "morning" or "afternoon" or "evening.")
