The standard used was his personal standard as heir to the throne- the royal standard with his label of three points and the shield of the Princes of Wales. It was also flown from the plane along with the Canadian flag, when he landed. I watched the CBC coverage until the commentator called it the Newfoundland flag, then switched to CTV which had much better coverage.
