Has anyone noticed the stereotypical images the media lords over monarchists, such as this example from CTV:
"For the first time in eight years, Royal Family watchers in three Canadian provinces will be able to put down the magazines and get a real glimpse of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, as they arrive for their official visit to Canada Monday."
While I appreciate the historical and social basis of the monarchy, I (and I'm sure many others do as well) feel that our cause will be lost if the media and the public see us as mere "royal family watchers" as opposed constitutional monarchists with a mission. Don't get me wrong; to see the Royal Family on Canadian soil is rare and amazing. But I think monarchists are more than a "fans."
