I suppose I shouldn't make too much of this but I do think that the excerpt below from the GG's itinerary at 11:30 on Thu 29-Oct gave a gratuitous and not really necessary mention of the fall of the Greek monarchy:
"The Presidential Palace is the official residence of the president of the Hellenic Republic. It previously served as the Royal Palace until the abolition of the monarchy by referendum in 1974."
