The Governor-General of New Zealand (they hypenate the title) did not come on a State Visit to Canada, despite what his office called it. It was not seen as a State Visit in Canada, and it did not have any of the events a "State Visit" has, ie. State Dinner, official welcoming, going to Rideau Hall in a landeau, etc etc.
