You will find in recent postings on this very board monarchists vilifying official multiculturalism. As far as I know the major republican movement in Canada has no official stance on multiculturalism.
I suggest we adopt the Sun Tzu adage: "Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster."
What republicans do appeal to is the easily consumable idea that our head of state should be a resident of Canada.
