Unfortunate that the Queen or heir to the Canadian Throne, Prince Charles wasn't invited to the 150th running of the Queen's Plate, a milestone anniversary.
Even more unfortunate that our official Head-of-State, the constitutional Head-of-State, the real Head-of-State, our Queen, won't be opening the Winter Olympics in British Columbia.
the Conservative Party of Canada is the only political party to have in its platform support of Canada's costitutional monarchy. It could have fooled me with the above events: if members of our Royal Family aren't going to be utilized for specific Canadian events it makes one wonder why we have a Royal Family to begin with - and I am a devout monarchist saying this, folks.
