There is a vintage portrait of Her Majesty and Prince Philip in the council chambers of Cornwall, where I am spending the summer. However, when O Canada was sung before the council meeting, everyone turned their backs to the portrait in order to face a number of flags, none of which was the Royal Union.
There is also a beautiful portrait of Her Majesty in the foyer of the rectory of St Columban's Church in Cornwall. I am always particularly pleased to see royal symbols in Catholic settings.
