Mini dresses were all the rage for weddings in the 60s, and much more suited to mod style than any regular wedding dress. Usually a baby-doll style mini dress in a white or cream silk or satin, and often with a little lace decoration at the cuffs or neckline. Plain dresses with lace sleeves were very popular too and those would be more mod than a frilly girly babydoll dress. Many modettes and brides in the 60s actually chose a nice smart 60s dress or suit instead of having an actual "wedding dress". None of the beatle wives wore an actual wedding dress to their weddings in the 60s, they chose smart dresses or suits. The same with Cilla Black for both the registry office wedding and the blessing in Liverpool.
