Not your particular subject - about which, frankly, I hadn't known anything - but your scratchbuilding! Which I was too unobservant to note, from your title (Duh!), but that only made the discovery, while reading/viewing your pics, that much more fascinating: I thought to myself, "Geez, you know that looks like you could scratchbuild one on a spare Tribal-class hull - I wonder if he did that…(D'Oh)!" Indeed though, it looks like I could do exactly the same with my pile of spare Airfix 600-scale kits - right down to all the required guns/missiles. |
Speaking of which, though: wouldn't the TigerCat war-shots be blue or white - aren't red missiles always practice rounds - or was that only for the USN? Also, you say whe's in her "late-'40s" fit - really, already with AA missiles - that early??! I never would have suspected that!
Did any of this class survive to attend the Falklands War (like so many of the other RN early Cold-War ships)? (I have a budding interest in that episode.)
But again, I really have an interest in scratchbuilding - a GREAT job, Donny, particularly on the hull (which, again, I originally mistook for plastic)!
