A solid third of this mold has been replaced: the upper bow, nose cone, sail planes, -cap and the entire leading edge of the sail, missile deck, turtleback round-down, rudders, stern planes and stabilizers, and propeller. All add infinitely to the OOB details - not to mention, greatly accurize the shapes involved.
Definately one of your best pieces! Brings a tear to the old eye. You captured everything about 1980's Pulaski. Can't wait to see her in a display case with some patches and photos!!!!
And 50 isn't that old - it only looks old - compared to pics of you aboard the Pulaski, Back in The Day. Pics you should certainly put into this display case - like this one, and this one (you can crop that other smart-ass out)!
BTW, those also show great missile-turtleback details - though I didn't have enough time (I thought) to add the little drainage gratings. However I got some great ideas for how to make a killer Matty's Models upgrade master - even better than what I did, here - to replace the (kit's OOB) deck piece on the missile casing. (Likewise for the sail cap - maybe even to include the leading-edge "dog house" as well [and Thanks for the compliment, buddy]).
So, you see: your birthday has also contributed to the Advancement of Modelling, As We Know It...!
