Gus' Best Ever!

IMHO - and fully acknowledging I am a sucker for unweathered (especially) subs - these look to be among the best builds you've ever shown us, Gus! Granted also, maybe they are all quite good/modern kits, to begin with - but even so your paint jobs, particularly their surface finishes, as well as your precise choice of browns and "blacks", are just unexcelled, IMHO. |
And - for anyone not yet noticing - Gus is one of- if not the finest among creators of display bases ever to contribute to ModelFleet - and here again these latest are as good and better than anything seen before.
Gus, are those lucite pillars that I see, supporting these builds? Just outstanding - again, particularly for (how I too like) displaying subs. Also the brass name-plates - they certainly look custom-made: is that so - and if so, how/where do you come up with them?
I guess what I am really requesting is a "how-I-do-it" primer on these top-flight bases - clearly something extremely useful (not to mention interesting) and commensurately appreciated - if you could, one of these days, document- and send us one from an upcoming build, buddy.
Finally, these builds - clearly all of museum-quality - are they going into display(s) at any actual museum(s) anywhere? Or (if it's not confidential) possibly going up for sale/auction anywhere, Gus? If so - and if indeed it's not a secret - then I'd also strongly urge sharing that info, as something(s) of great interest, to many readers (I have no doubt).
Meantime, and in any case: Bravo-Zulu, Gus - Thank You for this excellent submission - as (once again) you've literally outdone yourself, sir!
