...Matt, I wish you could have seen the smiles on Craig and Melissa's faces when they saw his pic up on the site's banner! The Gato - and the trophy - are now in places of honor in Craig's room, and he's lining up his next project. Now the bad news there is that everybody who's seen this has sent him cars, planes, and (in one spectacular case)an 18" wide UFO kit. Nevertheless, I am going to continue to try and keep him on the One True Path.
Many, many thanks, Sir -
Mike
Don, he's already on the right track.....

...About a month ago we were at the Shaw AFB open house, and we decided to grab some lunch - a palm sized pizza that ran about $8, but I digress. Craig asked if we could sit under one of the planes to eat and we headed for a KC-135 a hundred or so feet away with him carrying the pizza. He never saw an F-16 from the Viper East demo team (9th AFs 'hey, watch this' crew)come in from his left, about 100 feet off the deck and just under supersonic. I didn't have enough time to warm him and could only hope for the best. The F-16 comes blasting past - that gentle whoooshing sound followed by a God-almighty ka-BOOM. The lad jumps 6" in the air, as does the pizza, but never misses a beat as he recovers the pizza on a paper plate and keeps walking, eyes about a foot wide and looks at me and says, "Boy, that was loud!"
To summarize: * Was surprised * Recovered nicely from the surprise * Saved the food.
I submit that shows the making of a true USAF pilot.
Mike
If he's anything like my girls...

you'll have no problem keeping him military. My girls sneak into my stash and rob me blind of all my jets and prop jobs. I thank heaven daily that they don't do photo etch...
