Here's a couple of shots of my 1/48 Verlinden EPU Tractor:

This is a super easy kit to build - it's really just a big chunk of resin and about 6 or 7 parts. The real work is applying the dry transfer markings and painting and weathering.
Thanks, Kevin
Really nice, Kevin!

Again, one of my favorite features is your weathering - very greasy/dirty-looking and effective - I can almost feel the grime on my fingertips!
I have mixed feelings about kits which are "just a chunk", as you say, plus a few fittings to go onto it. On the one hand, it doesn't seem like sufficient "exercise" of the Modelling Arts, if you will, in construction. On the other hand, I also don't like unnecessary complexity - "make-work", from arbitrarily broken-apart shapes, down into many components requiring (re-)assembly - just to make a square box, for example - for which Trumpeter, in particular, has been notorious.
In this case, I don't know what the ideal solution might be. Except maybe to build more to go with it - like an A-4, getting powered-up!
Oh, and speaking of "building more", methinks I spy, in the second pic, lower-left corner, a 500-ish scale SBD Dauntless, spar from a Yorktown-class CV and single-5"/38 open-mount, to match. For all of which, together, I calculate a 92.7% probability that you're also building something from the Battle of Midway! Am I right?
In any case - and seriously, Kevin - a great little flight deck vehicle, and much appreciated submission to ModelFleet, buddy!
