FLOWER-class (2nd) RN Corvette Scratchbuilt 1:500 by John Bange (Here is) another flower class effort: Click on Image to Enlarge(...it is) scratchbuilt with wood hull,bridge. Click on Image to Enlarge(Sized at) 1/500 scale, using the new (Matt Stein Models') resin carly floats, a photo etch and plastic lantern type radar and some 20mm's, dept charge rack, and throwers from Lindberg's USS Riley DE. Click on Image to EnlargeI tried to form a squid launcher from a Revell supplied Vickers scattergun which came on a 1/570 KGV. Lot of fun!

BOGUE-class CVE Escort Aircraft Carrier Scratchbuilt 1:500 by John Bange (This is) another attempt at an escort carrier: Click on Image to Enlarge...(I) seem to be stuck on them right now...(I've taken on) a Bogue this time... ...The hull and upper works are made of basswood. the flight deck is also basswood scribed to look like planks... Click on Image to Enlarge...(The) mast is photo etch and a plastic kit part. GMM CXAM radar was used. (out of SK)!... ...(I am) using the new (Matt Stein Models) 40mms prototypes. These are just the greatest...although I snagged one of the barrels with a nail. The 40mms are very easy to use and the fact that they come with a gun tub makes them a MUST HAVE for anyone working in this scale... Click on Image to Enlarge...the (Matt Stein Models rafts) (Carly-type) floats are a dream...best I could possibly have hoped for. care must be taken when cutting the flash off...no big deal... ...I have finally gotten comfortable working with the (Matt Stein Models) 5" 38 singles...I use a steel pin for the barrel...heated and inserted. very easy! Just (a) great product!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Click on Image to Enlarge ...She is awaiting the 20mm from an ebay kit and paint jobs for the (Matt Stein Models) F4F's and TBF's...
