Between them not only being extremely historic - all three having been present at Pearl Harbor (just for starters) - they were also subsequently reconstructed in fascinating variety, according to the degree of damage sustained by each, there. West Virginia, in particular - the most severely damaged USN BB ever to return to combat duty - was rebuilt almost indistinguishable (save for her twin-16inch guns) from the (also rebuilt) Tennessee and California (and their triple-14inch guns). Colorado remained the least-altered of the class, retaining her narrow stacks and aft cage mast - though the latter was cut down substantially - with Maryland ending up the Missing Link, in turn, between the other two sisters.
This, therefore, is the thread for all things related to any of these three unique ladies.
