Holy Cow!!! Just got a look at the Dynavector site, and those are some incredible birds - and in 'pipefitters' scale' as I've heard it referred to. The SeaVixen and Javelin are especially pretty, but that Skyshark just begs to go up on my shelf.
The problem is, of course, the price. And let me be clear - what they're asking at the current rate of exchange is not at ALL unreasonable - about $77. For a limited run kit of a rare subject, they could get away with a LOT more. But the Fair Melissa and I were talking about that this weekend after a trip to the LHS - there was a kit there I had hoped to see back out, and it showed up, in markings I loved.
At $32.50. The kit, BTW, is the Monovell 1/48 Piper Cub. It's not like it's an F-105, or a big box-scale boat. I'm getting to the point where I may only be able to buy kits at IPMS vendor tables. The only kits that I'm still hoping will show up someday are a late-war Enterprise (CV-6) or Saratoga (CV-3), along with a big-scale Ranger (CV-4)...and I shudder to think what they're going to run in 350.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled board.
