...Have never actually TRIED this but heard it works: go to WalMart and get the flexible styrofoam material they sell in the school supply section - it's about 1/8 thick and you can roll it up very tightly without breaking, but I digress.
Take a sheet of the stuff (8"x11") and score it lengthwise - not enough to cut it all the way through - accordion style, maybe about 3/4" wide - then carefully fold it, put it between the model and the container sides, then let it slowly unfold again. It's soft enough that it shouldn't break anything but firm enough that it will hold something in place. As I said, I've not tried this - but as I'm moving myself on the 20th, I'm going to be trying it myself.
