Hi Matty, Gus tipped me off to your thread on U-505. He loaned me a book on the capture of U-505 and that inspired me to do a diorama of the capture - in 1/700 of course. The pics you have posted on the site will be very helpful. I've been working on this for about two months now and am no where near complete. I have Pillsbury almost done, Guadalcanal about half way and U-505 is but an outline on my base. The scene will be quite compressed due to space limitations, showing Pillsbury in near collision with Guadalcanal, but we sometimes must take liberties:-). I hope to have her done for JaxCon 2009. I also hope you'll be coming up for that. I'll send some progress pics soon so you can get an idea of where I'm going and maybe even offer some suggestions. BTW - a very nice Nell. Bring it up with you.
