A RAFT of USN FLOTATION DEVICES

Here, drifting to the fore - the first of several flotation devices upgrades: Still looking (deliberately) a bit rough, these square- and oval type USN rafts (the oval one pretty good also for RN-type Carley Floats) are under development - ultimately to be available in three sizes; for a total of six unique parts. I still need to decide exactly where in the desired size range these particular masters lie; they scale out to about 12-14 feet long, at 1/500-1/550. Note the astounding reproduction of ultra-fine (etched) gratings; strongly encouraging more accurization and additon of detail inside the raft-bottoms. I am presently wrestling with how to approach supply-packs for these rafts - without degrading these wonderful textures, inside; the current plan is leaning towards producing separate "supply stock"; from which barrel- and box-shaped packs could be cut and glued, as desired, into the raft-bottoms. In addition to rafts, plans call for development of possibly three types of USN float-net upgrades: float-net baskets, filled and unfilled (possibly with piled-net inserts), as well as loose, float-net "stock" which could be cut into mats or piles (as often lashed to the roofs of turrets, for example).
