In fact, this kit may be one of the (roughly dozen or so) which came with a little Mabuchi motor in the box. I don't know about R/C - never saw any indications of it in their instructions, for example (but often did see motorization). So, I'd say motorization definitely, but R/C I'm not at all sure...
