There is a rumour circulating in the village that disturbs me. The rumour is that Misterton Parish Council is looking to apply to change the name to Misterton Town Council. Me and my family moved to Misterton from a city because Misterton was a village.
I don't want to see my village turned into a town.
If the Parish Councillors of Misterton Parish Council want our village turned into a town then can I suggest they all move to Harworth or Tuxford and leave the village of Misteron to those of us who love it just the way it is.
Maybe one of the councillors may want to comment on this?
Oh, and by the way, I certainly don't want to see the chairman of the Parish Council become Town Mayor.
