The 30th Reunion of the Class of 1974 is fast approaching... it is being held on Saturday, November 27th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Wilbraham Country Club. The DJ has been selected and will play "music from our era" or anything we request. The dinner buffet sounds great - starting with an antipasto station, to a carving station with steamship of beef and pork loin with cider glaze, to a pasta station with three different pastas, to a seafood station with swordfish, shrimp, scallops and scrod and then finishing it off with chocolate mousse! I was sad to read that our nametags won't have our dorky yearbook pictures on them, but that might make some people happy! We are hoping to have some door prizes and maybe a raffle to benefit the Minnechaug Scholarship Foundation - maybe have a "Class of 1974 Scholarship" at this year's Night of Recognition... Can't commit two weeks in advance - pay at the door! Don't be like the graduate of 1973 whom I met up with recently and said she regrets not attending her 30th class reunion last year... Since the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District's website (www.hwrsd.org) is being revamped and under construction, there isn't much posted there so I'd appreciate your help in getting the word out. P.S. On Sunday I will have an updated list as to who is planning to attend thus far. Let me know if you are interested in knowing the details... Hope your name is on the list.
