I love going to UH football games and having a few beers. I've actually gotten pretty plastered at a few of them in my younger days. But I NEVER EVER caused trouble or got into fight, or spilled beer on other people or acted stupid. I felt it was my responsibility to act in a civil manner no matter what. Now that I take my young son to games, I don't drink (unless my beautiful wife drives), but I hate for him to see some of the assinine behavior by these drunken fools. I support Lt.Gov. Aiona's proposal to ban liquor and liquor sales in and around the stadium. If not for the idiotic behavior, just think of the number of drunken drivers taking to our roads after games. If only 5% of a 35K-40K crowd drive home, that's nearly 2,000 drunk drivers on the road every Saturday night for 4 months. It's probably more like 20% (8,000). That's 8,000 reasons drinking should be banned. Drunks should stay home and off the roads. Any more questions?
