Wanted to bring up a big reality check for everyone. We pay the MTA monthly or quarterly fees for the upkeep and general well being of Mililani because the home owners association has rules and stipulations on the way that our homes and neighborhoods must be kept. Again, we pay them for this. But it seems they don't keep any emergency contact information for us. Even though this information is required upon occupation in our area.
Last year my washer hose broke while I and my husband were both at work. Apparently, it was gushing water for the better part of 2 hours. Invading my entire living room, bathroom, kitchen, and our neighbor’s bathroom as well. They frantically tried to get in touch with MTA to get our contact information; lost time for them. Apparently they don't keep the on-site manager's information, or the maintenance representative's either. My neighbors eventually had to get a ladder to climb my lanai, and jump over to close the water cut-off valve to the entire unit until we returned home 3 hours later.
I think we should demand they keep this emergency contact information!
What do you think?
