Calvin Maeda's column in the January 2007 Mililani News confirmed what I've suspected for some time. The percieved arrogance of the MTA trickles down from it's top position. In his column, Maeda points out several instances where association rules were either not followed or were misunderstood. Fine, but instead of addressing these situations pragmatically and in a manner that was enlightening and subjective, he spins the stories to make the "unique individuals" as he calls them, look like fools. Mr. Maeda, you remember one thing, you work for us, NOT the other way around. Your litany of smug innuendos were completely unnecessary. Maybe we'd be more receptive of your precious little rules if you and your office weren't so condescending. Why don't you get off your damned high horse and do something actually productive like go look for and cite the residents who don't take care of their homes and lawns? Incidentally I am not one of your "unique individuals", nor have I ever been cited or denied by the MTA. It's just you and your classless attitude and complete lack of humility that irk me. You really showed your true colors in that insipid column of yours. If you can't interact with people cordially, THEN QUIT!!! You wouldn't be missed.
