I attended the Neighborhood Board meeting on Oct 17...Did YOU?

To answer that question, PROBABLY NOT. 700 signatures AGAINST the self-storage and approx 50 people at the meeting. The C&C commercial development people did their presentation on what types of businesses to expect in Mauka and no one opposed any of the plans.
But, back to the self-storage facility. From what was presented, it looks as if the development won't be as intrusive as you think. The layout and artist's rendition seemed okay and not the behemoth as mentioned in other postings. On the same property will be the Oahu Arts Center, and the plans for this was 4X as big as the storage business. Neither of the businesses would be adjacent to Meheula. The entrance to the storage facility would be on Lehiwa.
I was originally against the storage facility. But after seeing the plans, I'm not FOR it, but I'm not AGAINST it. Its existence will not have a negative effect on me. It's cool if we have it or not.
