Removed numerous abandon vehicles in Mililani Mauka; Request for the installation of traffic lights at Upper Lehiwa Drive and Koolani Drive; Installation of crosswalk on Lehiwa Drive fronting Mililani Middle School; The things you list would happen whether you or anyone else was in office, show what you can do with the Koa Ridge issue or the bus routes. You spend a lot of time tooting your own horn ACTIONS speak louder than words.
Sure it all sounds good and I don’t have much time so I will touch on some of the issues you brought to our attention.
Secured additional funding for 6 additional police beat officers for Mililani Mauka;
Mililani has the same amount of beats(and officers) as it did the first day it was built. One extra beat was finally approved (in Mauka) that requires 6 additional police officers to man the one beat, there isn’t enough officers so the beat is not filled. You give the impression that six more officers are patrolling the streets of Mauka, when it in fact it only adds one. This request has been in the works before you ever was in office.
You did this how, personally remove them? HPD cites the vehicle and there is an established abandon vehicles detail that services the whole island, this isn’t anything new. Anyone can call, report and have them removed.
Request? Residents have been requesting this from day one; it is and was in the initial plans you didn’t do anything to make it happen any faster than Joe Blow citizen.
You make sound like you built it; this again was on the list of things to do. There was a work order in for it before you were in office. If anyone should get credit, it is the school safety officer (Mililani Middle) that took it upon him self to set out cones and safely escort our children across the street.
